JamboMama! is a mobile health application designed to address critical challenges faced by pregnant women in rural areas, particularly limited access to timely maternal health information and support. The application focuses on empowering expectant mothers with reliable guidance throughout pregnancy using a simple, accessible mobile platform. It was tested at Sumve, Kwimba in cooperation with Smart Access to Health for All (SAHFA)
The Challenge
Pregnant women in rural communities often face barriers such as inadequate access to healthcare facilities, limited medical guidance, and delayed responses to pregnancy-related concerns. These challenges increase health risks for both mothers and unborn children.

We designed and developed JamboMama! as a user-friendly mobile application that delivers essential pregnancy-related information and guidance directly to users’ mobile devices. The app was built to be intuitive, lightweight, and suitable for users with varying levels of digital literacy.
